I am so happy with moving, finding jobs, and creating a wedding of everything I want, once again my oldest blog has been neglected! booo! but my friend Shawna (http://cupquakedesign.blogspot.com/) created a post based on her friends post (http://brookeanndove.blogspot.com/) that really inspires me to challenge myself to a 30 day blog challenge!
Blogging everyday on a particular subject, i love this idea because its relaxing, fun, and spontaneous. So I WILL!

Five Interesting Facts
1. i absolutely love strawberries. i could eat them everyday all day, if financially possible. i even have a birthmark on the back of my neck that is called a strawberry.
i actually had a strawberry shortcake doll too. we still have her and she has a tray full of strawberry cupcakes that still even smell like strawberries now!
2. i am a collector of blue glass objects. i collect them from shops, antique stores, and thrift stores i visit around the state. i love the way they look when light hits them. my favorite piece of blue glass is an old antique glass decanter that i bought on west congress in Austin.
i got my eye on a matching pair of blue glass decanter/candlesticks, over at the flea market on Denton square!
3. i secretly want a whole body full of tattoos :)
Kat Von D has a tattoo of her mom on her left shoulder, its awesome. and ive always thought it looked exactly like my mom when she was younger?? what do you think?
4. i am part irish. perhaps the reason for my bright pink cheeks, the alcohol tolerance, and the light skin complexion; even though my parents swear im hispanic.
5. when i was little, despite other kids dreams of being doctors and lawyers, i wanted to be a carpenter more than anything haha

There have been a lot of friends in my life, but i cling to my dearest ones for life. They mean a lot to me and have been there through so much. i devote much loyalty to these people who are my family:
Irby is the newest of them all, we have only known each other for 2 1/2 years, but there is something so innocent about him. He has this creative imagination you would only find in a six year old, and the desire to always learn more. He is the logical that balances my "la la land" attitude, and the most loyal love i could ever ask for.
Micayla, the bookworm. Constantly challenging my ideas with new ones and ever expanding my knowledge. This lady has great conversation and knows how to do almost-perfect french braid. We two are two mexican beans in a pod when it comes to adventure and trying new things together.
Linda is the cheerleader. She literally is this huge ball of positivity. Everyone she meets is attracted to her sunshiny disposition, this must be the reasoning for her 10 million FB friends. haha But other than that, Linda and i grew up in the same neighborhood since 2nd grade and have remained "back you up buddies" since. I know she will always be there for me and vice versa ( i hope!) Throughout our lives we haven't always been in the same place at the same time, but we always end up together again somehow; and just like best friends we pick up where we left off, like we hadn't spent a day apart in our lives.
To my dearest, Jessica. Spanish was a beast that 7th year of middle school, I thought i would not make it through. But you being by my side through volleyball and many boyfriends, somehow we made it outta high school alive, in one piece. We've been separated most of our lives, but still loyal. You are an inspiration to me, to achieve a higher level. You are my family, and we understand each other more than most people understand us.
Lauren. I feel like your my sister i never had. For some reason we were born apart, but have the exact same demeanor. Dont ask me how it happened, or where you have been all my life? being so new to it, that faithful sophomore year we treaded through a snowstorm just to get back to school from thanksgiving break, my life was in your hands haha You were the greatest roomie ive had, although past may conclude that i have low standards for that, based on other occupants. You are the one other person, besides my father that turns every sentence into a song that shares the same wording!!! and you are an old soul at heart. Born in the wrong decade me and you.
Jerome is the best gay best friend. I try to live up to it by being a gay hag as best as possible! You are remarkable in your knowledge and your theories. You are a sweetheart and one of the most concerning friends i know. You are still so young at heart and inspire me to be the same. You are vulgar and absurd which is great at breaking the ice in many situations, and getting people to think outside their boxes! Stay looking eighteen forever baby! haha
ilker. I wish I knew how to type your name on the keyboard, there has to be a way. I DO NOT like writing your name in lowercase, it makes me feel as though its not important! You have taught me a whole lot in the one year you have been here. About being open, being absorbent, and being thankful for the small things we have in life. YOU ARE THE MOST LOYAL, TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST, GRACIOUS PERSON I KNOW! you are what i could consider old world and chivalrous towards all walks of life. I have learned not only about being Turkish from you, but how to be a good person all around.
There have been so many influential people in my life, that have a imprint on me as a person. You are probably one of them if you are reading this. It would be great if i could write about every person i ever knew. These people and many more, i hold so close to my heart where ever i go.

About My Family
My family, although chaotic and at times ridiculous, is definitely my roots. At points in everyones lives there are times when people do not want to claim their own, but id be ignorant to say that with out a doubt they are ALWAYS the people i can count on and run to. Both of my parents are from Corpus Christi, and met there. My parents have been a huge inspiration for making to through the toughest times, and coming out in once piece on the other side. They are the most dedicated, strong parents in the world. They have always been proud of me no matter what i did, and constantly supported me no matter what decisions i made. There is no way i would have gotten as far as i am without them, and they continue to be a driving force in my life.
My Dad is the hardest working person i know. 24/7 he has devoted his life to our family. I think i am mostly like my Daddy, we are calm, cool, and collected. haha He deserves everything he has and way more. Hes shown me how to be adaptable in various situations, and how to jury rig many things. I am most thankful for his artistic abilities. mad however he didnt give me the musical talent that everyone else in the family seems to have, but i still try, really loud, singing to myself in my car- which i also learned from him. the drivers wheel is my drums, and the dashboard is a keyboard if it applies. My dad has shown me how to make a vacation out of any situation, between work and more work.
My mother is most definitely my rock. No matter how many times i think shes 'off her rocker' if i go to her with a problem, she somehow develops a perfectly sane and very right answer. she a small little lady with a internal fiery fighter inside. she is logical and knows more interesting facts than most brains can handle. haha she has a say in EVERYTHING, but she has shown me to be proud of myself no matter what. and when your scared, to just face it head on and always give it my best. No matter how much we argue i know that she is the strongest, forgiving, and most loyal woman i know.
I only have one brother, we are six years apart, but i have always followed him around. When i was little i constantly wanted to do what he was doing. He has taught me so many things in life and i am thankful for everything he has shown me. He constantly pushes me to strive for more, and to be a better, bigger person. He has the ambition of a lion, and the dreams of a king. He is a spot light stealer and a little kid stuck in a adult body; hes taught me how to handle almost any situation.
Abby is my niece. she has brought so much love and light into my heart. She has passion in everything and makes me want to be a kid again. She has the biggest heart and is beyond smart. i wish that we lived closer so that i could spend everyday with her. she inspires my curiosity. she is silly and so not afraid of anything bigger than her. i know that one day she too, like her daddy will be a big successful spot light stealer.

Something I Covet
Blanche is the single most thing I covet. Its so rediculous. she is treated like a baby, and no matter how many things she breaks or ruins she will always be my little princess. If I treat her like this I wonder how i will treat my child; we might be in trouble. haha

ok, im not a huge country fan, but this song reminds me of the time when my grandfather was on the edge of alzheimers and me and my mom would drive him around the bay of Corpus singing this cd with him. It was one of the only things that would make him smile and laugh at the time.
